Can you help Jon Light up the Lakes?
Can you help Jon ‘Light up the Lakes’ to raise funds for COPS?
On 22nd June 2018, our dispute resolution solicitor Jonathan Peck will be taking on a daring challenge in the Lake District to raise much needed funds for COPS (Care of Police Survivors), a UK based charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives on duty, rebuild their lives.
The aptly named ‘Light the Lakes’ challenge will see our intrepid solicitor & his team join with other equally daring fundraisers to climb Lingmoor Fell in the pitch dark. They will then wait until 3am before lighting a flare. With the other teams across the Lake District releasing their flares at the same time, this should make an impressive spectacle!
With his tongue firmly in his cheek, our good humoured fundraiser commented “While a man in such tremendous physical condition as me should have no concerns about this barmy idea, hitting our fundraising target would perhaps justify my almost inevitable brush with danger. COPS is a fantastic charity who work tirelessly to support police families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty.”
At Fishers we will be eagerly cheering Jon on in his efforts (maybe from the comfort of our beds) and we wish him every success in reaching his fundraising target!
