Commercial Property Solicitor
Full time / Salary Negotiable
We are an expanding five partner firm with offices in Leicestershire and Staffordshire. We require a Commercial Property Solicitor, to be based at our Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, to join our busy team dealing with a varied caseload.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
Carrying out your own caseload of Commercial Property matters including freehold sales and acquisitions and landlord and tenant matters
Assisting the Commercial Property Partner with larger projects including development work and corporate support work.
Ensure that all clients work is progressed in a timely manner and that the client is kept informed throughout, ensuring that you are delivering exceptional customer service.
Comply with all file and case management quality standards in accordance with the Law Society requirements.
Time record for all client matters on the case management system
Undertake any relevant training as and when required and comply with the Law Society CPD requirements.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Significant experience as a Solicitor in a Commercial Property Department (ideally a minimum of 3 years PQE)
Unrestricted practicing certificate
Development experience is preferred but not essential
Exposure to agricultural work would be preferred but not essential
Previous business development experience
The successful candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative whilst also being a good team player.

Legal Secretary - Residential Property
We are recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Residential Conveyancing team working in our Ashby-de-la-Zouch offices on a full time basis.
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
To prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing.
To administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the Office Manual.
To record all client and matter details on the PMS and set up new files, and ensure that the client/matter details are kept up to date.
To make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for the Fee Earner
To attend to clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care.
The successful candidate will possess:
Experience of working as a Legal Secretary ideally in a Residential Property department
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Exceptional customer service skills
Attention to detail
Can do attitude

Temporary Part-Time HR Advisor (11 month FTC – Maternity Cover)
Fishers Solicitors are a well-established legal firm with their Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. We employ approximately 50 people and practice in areas such as Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Probate, Commercial Property, Litigation and Family Law.
We are now looking for a standalone HR Advisor to join us for 11 months, covering the current HR Manager’s maternity leave. This role is based at our Head Office in Ashby- de-la- Zouch, although weekly travel to our office in Tamworth is required.
The current HR Manager works 21 hours over 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). We are looking for somebody to work a similar number of hours, although the exact working pattern can be agreed with the successful candidate. The Fixed Term Contract would start at the beginning of July.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
Responsibility for providing advice and guidance in relation to employee relations matters
Maintaining and updating where necessary, HR policies and procedures in line with the prevailing legislation
Managing the end to end recruitment and selection process including, drafting adverts, conducting interviews, managing the offer and onboarding process
Processing maternity and paternity requests from start to finish.
Supporting line managers to undertake any performance management activities which may arise
HR Administration including issuing contracts and offer letters, processing holiday forms, processing staff changes and processing absence forms
Delivering and implementing HR projects in line with business needs
Involvement in the charity and social committee, ensuring activities are organised throughout the year
Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time by the Partners
Skills and experience we are seeking in the ideal candidate:
Good organisation and prioritisation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or have equivalent experience.
Previous experience of working in a standalone capacity would be an advantage
A full, clean, UK driving licence is required
