Four new team members joined us in February!

We’re delighted to be welcoming four new team members across the firm. We know that their experience and expertise will make a real difference to our clients and colleagues, not just because two of them are returning to Fishers after some time away!

Here’s a bit more about them.

Kristin Clark – HR and Operations

Kristin worked in the legal sector for 13 years in lots of different roles, before going to work for a charity in Derby. She found that she missed working for law firms and always wanted to return to work for an independent firm. After 7 years working for the charity, she’s found the right opportunity for her with Fishers.  She values the fact that we’re a local practice with a family friendly environment. Here’s what Kristin had to say about joining Fishers.

“They’re a small firm where I can make a difference, looking after people and their wellbeing. I’m looking forward to getting to know people, taking the reins and making the job my own while driving forward in line with Fishers’ values.”

Jayne Parsons – Wills and Probate

Jayne is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with extensive knowledge of inheritance tax, wills and trusts. She first came to work for Fishers after being introduced to us by a friend. She had some time away but has returned and says it’s like she never left! The timing was ideal as she was moving house and her previous commute was going to be a pain.

We’re delighted to have Jayne back as her easy-going nature quickly puts anxious clients at ease. She takes a keen interest in older client matters and is also a Dementia Friend.

Jonathan Peck – Dispute Resolution

Jon started his career as a journalist, working for the Stafford paper and working his way up to chief reporter. In 2005 he left journalism behind and went travelling in Southeast Asia and Australia. On his return he took a law conversion course and became a personal injury paralegal before qualifying as a solicitor. He’s been a director at Imperium Law and worked for Fishers between 2017 and 2019. He left as the commute was too much, especially as he was balancing work with his home life as a dad to two boys.

Flexible working has allowed Jon to re-join our dispute resolution team and he says he feels as if he has come home.

Nikita Middleton – Conveyancing

Nikita started her career as an estate agent before joining a local firm of solicitors as a secretary. She decided to combine those areas of expertise and has progressed to become a qualified Conveyancer.

She was keen to develop her knowledge further and is looking forward to progressing her career with us. She says:

“I was drawn to Fishers as I have worked alongside them for a while and everybody has always seemed very friendly.”
