ID1 Identity Verification Service

If you need to complete a Form ID1, Fishers Solicitors provide a fast, reliable, and fully compliant identity verification service. An appointment must be made in advance and occasionally a same day appointment may be available. The cost is £325 + VAT.

This is a form is required by HM Land Registry to confirm your identity when you are not using a Solicitor or law practice in connection with a property transaction, most common of these would be a Transfer of Equity sometimes resulting from a separation or divorce but other reasons could apply.

You need to attend our office in person for a face-to-face meeting, bringing with you the Form ID1 with the first section, with Section A already fully completed. You will also bring with you the original documentation required for checking as set out in the Form ID1 including 2 colour passport photos taken within the last 3 months. Copies of your identification will be retained for Fishers Solicitors file and for verification with H M Land Registry when they contact us in due course.

Payment for the service is to be made in advance online or at the start of the face-to-face meeting.

The lawyer at the meeting will complete Section B of the ID1 Form and verify the passport photograph for inclusion with the form as well as ask for your signature on our forms for instruction.

You will take away the original Form ID1 and pass it back to the person or firm that sent it to you originally.
