Neighbour disputes

If you are having disputes with your neighbours and are at the point where you need legal advice, then our team of neighbour dispute solicitors will help you to formulate a plan to resolve your issues. This doesn’t necessarily mean going to court. Depending on your case a letter to your neighbours may do. Our solicitors will look at your neighbour disputes and advise on the best possible outcomes.

*We are now offering discounts on initial meetings if they are held on Zoom. Get in touch with one of the team to find out more.

Typical neighbour disputes

Boundary disputes

Checking the property title deeds is usually the starting point and will help resolve the issue over who owns what when it comes to your property and land. If the boundaries aren’t easily defined that is when you’ll need to speak to an expert to help provide some clarity with the issue.

Noise complaints

When noise levels are quite frequent and disruptive this is when the issue leads to noise pollution. This is when action is needed to resolve the issue. We can assist you with the procedures of incoming your local authority and if necessary send suitable correspondence to your neighbour.

Shared facilities

Typically in flats, it is often the requirement to look after and maintain shared facilities. This may also be the case in other types of properties too. Often the property title deeds can help, but if the task is too much to handle and disputes occur, one of our dispute resolution solicitors can help you to resolve the problem.

Trees and gardens

If trees and gardens are causing problems, for example, blocking light, obstructing pathways leading to a potential accident or are encroaching onto your land, it is always important to deal with these types of issues amicably. However if the issue has passed that friendly conversation, one of our solicitors can help you to tackle the problem head on.

At Fishers we have wealth of experience in helping local neighbours settle disputes in and out of court. If you are after legal advice you can either make an enquiry, request a call back, or call us on 01530 412167.
