Property and Building Disputes

Whilst it may not be your “forever home”, any disputes can impact your enjoyment of it, and effect your daily life, and can be frustrating. Whilst it is usually advisable to attempt to resolve any disputes amicably, so that you can continue to be comfortable in your home, other times, it may be necessary to seek legal expertise. We will be able to help advise you, and provide you with knowledge of your rights and options, as well as guide you to settling disputes.

Rights of Way and Easements

We can help assist you in understanding what rights you have either accessing other people’s land, or other people’s rights involving your property. And in the event that there are obstacles blocking your right of way, or third parties continuing to trespass on your property, we will be able to guide you in helping resolve the situation.

Adverse Possession Claims

Whether you are in a dispute with someone who moved your boundary, or you have occupied a piece of land of a substantial length of time, and consider it your own, Fishers can assist in advising you as to whether you have any rights over the land, and if so, what you can do to deal with any issues.

Building and Construction Disputes

If you have had building works, and do not consider that they are of a reasonable standard, or are a builder and have had clients either refuse to settle your invoices, or are demanding that you complete further works for no additional payment, we can provide you with advice to help in settling any issues, before they turn into costly disputes.

However, should matters escalate, and Court proceedings issues, we will be there to explain and guide you through the process.

Should there be a construction dispute between two companies, the process to resolve a dispute is different. We can guide you with using the correct procedures in dealing with such a claim, and assist in any negotiations to help bring the matter to a close.
