Solicitors and Executives

John Yardley B.A.(Hons)
John joined Fishers from a national firm of solicitors. He has over 20 years of experience as a solicitor working primarily in commercial and residential property.

Alexandra Cooling B.A. (Hons) TEP
Alex joined the firm four years ago as a trainee solicitor, having read Linguistics and Philosophy at university. She is a Trusts and Estate Practitioner and specialises in wills, administration of estates, trusts and taxation matters. In her final STEP membership exams she achieved the highest marks in the country for Administration of Trusts.

Alison Wilding F.Inst.L.Exec
Alison is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and has a Masters in Agricultural Law. Alison deals with all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including divorce, financial settlements, cohabitation, civil partnerships and children issues. She is also able to assist with agricultural matters and her knowledge of agricultural law is invaluable in advising clients from the agricultural community on matrimonial matters. Alison works from the firm’s Swadlincote office.

Andrew Robotham F.Inst.L.Exec.
Andy is Fellow of the Institue of Legal Executives, and a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). He is also a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Children Law, Cohabitation and Domestic Violence. He is one of the very few lawyers in the country, and the only one in the Midlands, to sit on the Domestic Abuse Committtee in London. Andy has been practising law for over 15 years, and is experienced in all areas of family law. In addition to expertise in divorce and financial disputes, he specialises in child care, co-habitation disputes and domestic violence.

Len Southey T.E.P
Len is a Trusts & Estates Executive and a member of STEP. He concentrates on the private individual and family aspects of probate law, especially wills, enduring powers of attorney, tax and estate planning. Len has been with the firm for 12 years and has 35 years experience in probate law.

Amanda Payne FILEX
A legal executive who specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing including freehold and leasehold. She has been involved in residential property work for twenty years. She is the firm's representative for eConveyancing.

David Hartwell
David is a Conveyancing Executive specialising mainly in plot sales for development companies. David is familiar with all aspects of large residential developments, from the sale of plots to the agreements required to adopt sewers and roads.

Michael Bale
Michael is a Matrimonial Executive with over 30 years experience in matrimonial and family law.

Diane Crane
Diane is a Conveyancing Executive and works from the Swadlincote office. She specialises in residential conveyancing, and has over 30 years experience in this area of law. She has been with Fishers for 15 years and has close links with estate agents and local businesses throughout the South Derbyshire area.

Amy Stubbs LLB (Hons)
Amy has recently been admitted as a Solicitor following completion of her Training contract with the firm, she now works in the Family & Matrimonial Department dealing with Divorce, Contact and Ancillary matters.
