Simon specialises in commercial property, landlord and tenant, contract and leasehold law. He deals primarily with acquisitions and disposals for both regional and national property developers, and high end commercial lettings. He has recently negotiated the disposal of industrial units on behalf of a national property developer in a £20 million deal to a high profile company in the automotive industry.
, Managing Partner and head of the Commercial Litigation and Company departments. He studied law at Pembroke College and joined Fishers in 1980. He deals with both contentious and non contentious matters and specialises in a broad range of company and commercial work for both regional and national companies. His work includes management buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and shareholder agreements, business asset acquisition and disposal, joint ventures, intellectual property and employment matters. Charles has recently acted in a high profile case involving the duties of non-executive directors. He has also acted in the raising of medium term finance of £50million for a mining concern.
. John is A Chartered Tax Adviser and a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners. He heads the Probate department and specialises in trust and tax affairs, including offshore trusts, inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax and financial planning for private and commercial clients. John acts for several high net worth individuals and trusts (both offshore and onshore).
has been with the firm since 1980. John’s main area of expertise is in agricultural and rural property and conveyancing for small businesses. He is a member of the Agricultural Law Association, the Country Landownders Association, the National Farmers Union and Tenant Farmers Association. He is a past President of the Ashby Agricultural Society.
joined Fishers recently from a leading Nottingham firm. Nick read Land Management at university and now works in the Commercial Property department, working primarily with major corporate clients. Nick has extensive experience in property development, the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, secured lending, licensed premises, non-contentious landlord and tenant predominantly in the industrial sector.
moved from a leading Midlands firm in 1999 to join Fishers; she became a partner in 2002. Louise works with Charles Killin on major commercial and company matters, She also handles matters for small to medium regional companies, particularly on business start ups, commercial contracts including franchise agreements and software licences, employment matters and partnership agreements. She has also acted in the raising of medium term finance of £50million for a mining concern.
Stella has recently joined Fishers' Commercial department to develop the firm’s strength in employment law. Stella deals with both private and company employment matters and has extensive experience in employment tribunal work. Stella works primarily at the Swadlincote branch.

Gerard is a non-executive director of Wilson Bowden plc with whom he has a good longstanding relationship. He specialises in company law and has dealt with several major plc flotations, mergers and acquisitions. He also has a specialised knowledge of mining and minerals.
