Simon is head of the commercial property department, he has been with the firm for over 30 years. Simon specialises in commercial property, landlord and tenant, contract and leasehold law. He deals primarily with acquisitions and disposals for both regional and national property developers, and high-end commercial lettings. He has recently negotiated the disposal of industrial units on behalf of a national property developer in a £20m deal to a high profile company in the automotive industry.

Michael Wakeman

Michael has recently joined Fishers from a firm in Birmingham City Centre and specialises in all aspects of commercial property. Michael advises clients on all issues relating to landlord and tenant, acquisitions and disposals of land and buildings, secured lending and property development. Michael has acted for a number of property developers with regard to the acquisition of development land, and has also acted for farmers wishing to dispose of agricultural land and buildings. He also has experience of advising on the property aspects of the Private Finance Initiative scheme, acting for both public and private sector clients.

John Paine B.A.(Hons)

Consultant

John has been with the firm since 1980. His main area of expertise in commercial property is in agricultural and rural property conveyancing for small businesses. He is a member of the Agricultural Law Association, the Country Landowners Association, the National Farmers Union and Tenant Farmers Association. He is a past President of the Ashby Agricultural Society.
