Compromise Agreements

There are many reasons why an employer may want terminate a workers employment such as redundancy or as a result of a break down in the employer/employee realationship. In many cases this will result in the employer offering the employee a Compromise Agreement. This a formal agreement allowing the employment to end on the terms agreed within the Compromise Agreement.

Fishers Solicitors are able to give comprehensive advice on Compromise Agreements (also known as Termination Agreements or Severance Agreements). Our Employment specialist will investigate whether the terms of the Compromise Agreement are suitable for you and whether the amount offered to you in the Compromise Agreement is adequate.

We will ensure that any Compromise Agreement you are offered is both fair and reasonable and if not, we will negotiate those terms on your behalf.

In most cases the employer will make a contribution towards your legal costs for advice regarding a Compromise Agreement, therefore advice can cost very little and in some cases nothing at all.
