Charles studied law at Pembroke College, Cambridge and qualified as a solicitor in 1978. He joined Fishers business team in 1980 and became partner in 1982.

Charles’ expertise and reputation soon grew, regularly being instructed by local businesses and directors.

Charles led the team at Fishers in representing a non-executive director for Equitable Life in the long running claim against the Board totalling £3.3 billion. Charles has also acted on a range of finance and commercial transactions with values up to £96 million.
